Speaker Joseph Corriveau
Dr. Joseph Corriveau serves as the Director of Research and Technology for the Edgewood Chemical Biological Center (ECBC) as a Senior Executive Service (SES).
Members of the SES serve in key positions just below Presidential appointees, and are the major link between the appointees and the federal work force.
As the Director of Research and Technology, Dr. Corriveau is responsible for the scientific activities of Department of the Army civilian employees and on-site contractor personnel who are part of ECBC’s Research and Technology Directorate.
The directorate, one of three within ECBC, supports the Department of Defense, as well as other government agencies by providing innovative science and technology solutions for chemical and biological defense.
Dr. Corriveau joined ECBC in June 2003 as the deputy director for Research and Technology after serving in the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition, Technology & Logistics as the chief scientist for the Chemical Biological Defense Program. He began leading the Research and Technology Directorate as Director in December 2007.
Dr. Corriveau holds Doctorate and Master of Science degrees from the Division of Biology and Medicine at Brown University; and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from Saint Anselm College.
