Employed at Genencor International since 1985. Graduated from University of California at Davis with a Bachelor of Science in Genetics (1985) and from Stanford University with a Master of Science in Chemical Engineering (2001). Worked in Genencor R&D in Molecular Biology, Protein Chemistry, Liquid and Solid Formulations, Industrial and Pharmaceutical Biologics Process Development and Industrial Specialties Applications.

Currently group leader of the Emerging Market Development Applications R&D. Our current focus is marketing an effective enzymatic solution for the decontamination and destruction of chemical warfare agents and biological warfare agents.

Further efforts will also aim towards leveraging into the civilian sector (e.g.  pesticide remediation; general disinfection) and developing second generation enzymatic solutions for chemical and biological decontamination.

Efforts in these areas include enzyme engineering to enhance enzymatic activities and formulation development and partnering to increase flexibility of system integration with our customers.

We also continue to optimize our production processes to increase production efficiencies and sustainability.
